Free online course on the International Classification of Crime for Statistical Purposes now available!

The UNODC Research and Trend Analysis Branch and the UNODC-INEGI Center of Excellence have launched a free online course on the International Classification of Crime for Statistical Purposes (ICCS), a global reference framework of crime concepts and definitions that improves the collection, organization, analysis and dissemination of statistical data on crime and criminal justice.

With this self-administered course, you will learn how the ICCS works, how it improves data consistency within and across countries, and understand the five main phases of its implementation. You will also learn how the ICCS can improve the collection of criminal data for the prevention and fighting of transnational organized crime.
