UNODC-INEGI Centre of Excellence Updates the Victimisation Survey Atlas

The UNODC-INEGI Centre of Excellence for Government Information, Public Security, Victimisation and Justice announces its latest update of the Victimisation Survey Atlas, composed of the Documentary Atlas and the Dynamic Data Atlas of Victimisation Surveys. This tool has become an international reference, offering a unique repository on how households around the world are affected by crime victimisation.

In this edition, an in-depth review was carried out in 54 countries, allowing the incorporation of 6 new countries with survey results and methodological documents into the Documentary Atlas, as well as new data for the 14 comparable indicators* into the Dynamic Data Atlas.

The countries now enriching the Atlas are:

  • Camboya 2023
  • Scotland 2023-2024
  • Northern Ireland 2023-2024
  • Indonesia 2024
  • Jamaica 2024
  • Japan 2024

With this update, the Atlas is consolidated as a global tool for the analysis of victimisation surveys at the international level, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and good practices among countries.
