New publication of the En Núm3ros Series: Characteristics of victimization and multiple victimization in the Mexican population, 2010-2015

The National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) has published the 9th output of the En Núm3ros Series: documents of analysis and statistics. The publication name is Characteristics of victimization and multiple victimization in the Mexican population, 2010-2015.

The objective of this publication is to provide statistical information that allows to identify the most vulnerable groups to crime, so as to determine some of the changes in habits and activities of people as a consequence of the presence of crime. The analysis is mainly focused on 2015, with some comparisons of the victimization in Mexico for the period 2010-2015, as well.

This publication, among the many contributions, shows the importance of studying victimization in Mexico, the local entities with the highest crime prevalence and the profile of the victims. This information is extremely important, since the quality of life depends on the level of peace and security where societies grow and also because of the need of evidence-based information for policy making and the implementation of public policies.
