Argentina joins regional efforts to generate public policies based on evidence: results of its first National Victimization Survey based on UNODC international standards and Center of Excellence are published

On February 16th, the Ministry of Security and the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) published the final report of the National Survey of Victimization (ENV) 2017. This survey is an institutional collaboration work that was supported by the Inter-American Development (IDB), National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) and Center of Excellence (CoE) of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

The ENV 2017 considers recommendations from the Manual of Victimization Surveys of UNODC and the Crime Victimization Survey Initiative in Latin America and the Caribbean (LACSI), which generates information that allows the monitoring of 4 indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals (ODS) 2030, particularly from Objective 16 Peace, Justice and Solid Institutions.
