The Center of Excellence participated in the International Seminar: Violence, Victims and Fair Societies on November 21 and 22 in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Seminar was jointly organized by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of the Republic of Argentina, the Latin American Institute for the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders (ILANUD) and the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights.

It was also presented the United Nations Development Agenda 2030, specifically the Sustainable Development Goal 16, focused on promoting Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. The Center of Excellence presented some considerations regarding how to measure the indicators 16.1.1 Number of victims of intentional homicide per 100,000 population, by sex and age and 16.1.3 Proportion of population subjected to physical, psychological or sexual violence in the previous 12 months in the Latin American and the Caribbean region.
