More neighbourhoods participate in the “Local Safety Audit” field work for the municipality of Santiago de Queretaro

From 16 to 21 October 2017, the Center of Excellence in Statistical Information on Government, Crime, Victimization and Justice (CoE) continued with the field work to conduct the Local Safety Audit Project  in the municipality of Santiago de Queretaro. In this occasion, 9 focus groups were realized in 8 selected neighbourhoods at the municipality. By now, the CoE has engaged with a total of 26 colonies, with the active participation of young population, parents, neighbours and community leaders.

During that same week, meetings were held with the Secretariat of Government of the State of Queretaro and the Coordination of Services for Basic Education of Queretaro (USEBEQ), where the main objectives of the Local Safety Audit were presented. As a result all stakeholders established collaboration links and agreed on an exchange of statistical information.

We thank the participation of Queretaro’s population, as well as the contribution of the State and Municipal authorities, who permanently collaborate to achieve the objectives of the Local Safety Audit.
