The Center of Excellence publishes brief research on the importance of Statistical quality in the measurement of the SDG 16
On November 14th, the Center of Excellence published the working paper “Importance of Statistical Quality in the measurement of the SDG 16“. Its purpose is to retake the importance and validity of the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics, approved by the United Nations Statistics Commission. The adherence of the countries to the Fundamental Principles entails the development of statistical processes and products that ensure the independence, quality, credibility and usefulness of official statistics for the generation of integral diagnostics in matters of security and justice that are useful for the development of public prevention policies and the reduction of violence and crime, a problem of great relevance at a global level that infringes on the quality of life of societies.
