International Conference on Government Statistics, Public Safety, Victimization and Justice
4th International Conference on Government Statistics, Public Safety, Victimization, and Justice
Date: June 4–6, 2018
Location: Lima, Peru
Agenda: Spanish / English
Objective: The Conference is held every two years with the aim of gathering the most innovative ideas in this field and addressing the challenges countries face in developing statistical methods, since generating high-quality statistical data on security, justice, and crime helps strengthen the development of targeted public policies that can more effectively improve community living conditions and address criminal dynamics. For this 4th Conference, keynote speeches, panels, and workshops are scheduled to promote, in particular, work related to the indicators of Goal 16—Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions—of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, which sets targets to promote just, peaceful, and inclusive societies.
