The 4th International Conference on Governance, Crime and Justice Statistics begins in the City of Lima, Peru

From June 4 to 6, 2018, this Conference organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime through the Center of Excellence and the support of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) of Mexico is held for the fourth time. In this edition, it is held in the City of Lima, Peru thanks to the hospitality and interest of the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) of Peru. In addition to the organizing institutions, this Conference has other important partners such as the Inter-American Development Bank, the Infosegura Project of the United Nations Development Program, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

For three days, more than 400 academic experts, decision makers and staff of National Statistics Offices from 35 countries around the world will learn methodologies, research and experiences to size and characterize different crime phenomena such as corruption, organized crime and violence against women together with discussing strategies to disseminate in a more adequate manner the data and information available, as well as promoting its use in the decision making of crime prevention and security policies.
